Dare Summer

Dare Summer is the artist project of London-based songwriter, singer and pianist, Lucinda Gallant. Hours spent as a child listening to her jazz-musician father improvise at the piano motivated her to start writing songs at the age of ten. Drawing inspiration from classic songwriters and the disco era of the 70s, early 80s synth bands as well as classical music and jazz standards, Dare is as comfortable writing and recording electro pop bangers as she is emotionally-charged piano-led ballads and folk pop tunes. All her songs begin as solo piano pieces which reflect her mood and situation. She then finds melodies in the harmony and words in her experiences.
