Keely Records
Keely Smith’s partnership with husband Louis Prima made her a household name. After splitting with Louis, in a time when few women had the vision to be masters of their own artistic destinies, she set up “Keely Records” her own record label partnered with pal Frank Sinatra’s Reprise Records and embraced her role as one of Reprise’s signature artists.
Highlights with Prima included their legendary nightclub act and hit albums including The Wildest!. Their hit single “That Old Black Magic” earned them the GRAMMY® for Best Performance by a Vocal Group or Chorus. Concurrently Keely became a much lauded solo recording artist with releases on Capitol and Dot Records which included her gold solo debut I Wish You Love. Her alliance with Reprise yielded a string of innovative albums, breakthough hits in the UK in amidst Beatlemania and the kickoff of her decades long success as a Vegas headliner.
